Liat: first off, I love what you're trying to do with this platform, and that it's so non-"siloed" as far as content, the exuberance, and non-conventionally are all pluses for me; we're looking to incorporate some of the NotebookLM ideas in our own upoming podcast. But - two thoughts: Can the program make the voices a bit more adult and less "glib?" as is, it sounds like an NPR broadcast aimed at preteens (unless that's the demographic you're aiming at - and I say that as a past NPR bureau chief,,, and if they say, "Exactly!" or "Totally! my head will explode,,, lol.

Dave, thank you for listening, reading, and following my show. Currently, these are the only voices available on NotebookLM. I understand the frustration from the voices and tonality; sometimes, it is exhausting, but this is the product development journey, and we are part of it. With that said, I assume that they will extend this functionality soon, and you will be able to choose the number of hosts, their voice tone, and even their character, as all video-to-text tools already do that and additionally know how to translate to over 100 languages. So, that addition is peanuts for Google to add, and I assume that the next phase will include video. If I were NotebookLM's product manager, this would be the roadmap for this product's development. In the meantime, experiment and learn the functionality. To overcome the exhausting excitement of the hosts, you can listen to them at double speed to ease the pain. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions or if you want to collaborate.
